Additional Services

A beautiful smile is closer than you think! Below you will find descriptions of all the services we offer. We are happy to help you learn how they can promote your oral health. For more information or to set up an appointment, please contact us.

Bonding helps restore the function and beauty of your teeth. If you have a small front tooth, this procedure builds up the tooth to make it look similar in size and appearance to your other teeth. After the treatment, your smile will be brighter, your teeth will be stronger, and your confidence level will be higher.

Many patients who are missing one or more of their teeth have solved their dental problems using dental bridges. These non-removable appliances effectively fill in the gaps where your missing teeth used to be and also restore function to your bite.

We desire to maintain the health of your entire mouth, which includes your teeth’s surrounding bones and gums. In order to prevent gum disease (gingivitis) and advanced periodontal disease (periodontitis), it is important that you keep up good hygiene habits, eat a healthy and balanced diet, and always attend your regular dental checkups. If you are suffering from discomfort or pain in your gums or teeth, we strongly recommended that you visit Dr. Hayden immediately.

Crowns (or caps) are restorations that encase the entire surface of your tooth, rebuilding it to its original size and shape. If your tooth cannot be restored by other types of dental restorations, a crown could be the perfect solution to strengthen and protect your tooth structure.

Fluoride, a natural mineral, is found in most water and food and has been proven to reduce the risk of getting cavities. Fluoride fights and can even reverse tooth decay caused by bacteria, acids, and plaque that consistently hurt the teeth. Recent studies have also shown that the topical fluoride (typically found in toothpaste, dental treatments, and mouth rinses) is just as important when fighting against tooth decay as it is when helping to develop and strengthen teeth.

Replacing a missing tooth with a dental implant is often the best solution to regain your mouth’s ability to function and chew correctly, as well as give you a great smile. After the dental implant surgery, you will have a temporary tooth in place while waiting for the permanent one. Once your mouth has healed, Dr. Hayden will place an implant crown or restoration over your implant.

For patients who want to have straight teeth without having to wear traditional metal braces, we are proud to offer Invisalign. This amazing system uses a series of nearly invisible aligners that are both easy to use and comfortable. By providing gentle pressure, the Invisalign aligners will gradually straighten and improve your smile. This effective system can help to correct:

  • Bite problems
  • Crowding
  • Gaps
  • Misalignment

Deep periodontal pockets are difficult to clean, which can allow periodontal disease to progress. Dr. Hayden’s office is focused on maintaining the dental health of our patients, which is why we offer non-surgical deep cleaning treatments, including root planing and scaling. Root planing involves smoothing the tooth’s roots and removing any infected tooth structure. Scaling is the process of removing tartar from the tooth’s surface. These procedures help the body heal those deep periodontal pockets, which allows for stronger tooth support and more effective cleaning of the teeth at home. Together they are important when fighting against the gum disease, periodontitis.

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is made necessary when an untreated cavity reaches all the way to the tooth’s pulp. Treatment may also be needed when deep restorations or trauma to a tooth cause nerve damage. This is commonly known as having the nerve removed from the tooth.

A tooth that needs a root canal may have symptoms that include sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, pain, swelling, pain to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. However, sometimes no symptoms are present, and you may be unaware of any problem until a checkup.

A root canal removes the nerve and associated tissues from the tooth. Once the infection is resolved, the canal is filled in to prevent any further infection.

Sealants are a clear or tooth-colored plastic material applied to the back teeth’s chewing surfaces, where dental decay most often occurs. Sealants create a barrier over the grooves and pits of chewing surfaces, thus sealing out germs and food that can cause decay.

Many people are unhappy with the color of their teeth. Fortunately, our office can help remove the stains that make your teeth appear dull or yellow. Our custom bleaching trays are comfortable to wear, and your smile will be brilliant and beautiful in no time!

A filling can repair teeth that have become cracked, fractured, or decayed. At our office, we use tooth-colored (composite) fillings in order to give you the best aesthetic and restorative results. In just one appointment, Dr. Hayden will remove the affected portion of your tooth, then clean and fill the remaining tooth with a composite filling.

Dr. Hayden is good at fixing and saving teeth. However, there are times when a tooth is irreparable due to a cavity, fracture, periodontal disease, or infection. If you have a tooth that needs to be removed, there are several options to replace it, including implants, bridges, and partial or complete dentures. Not all replacement options are right for every patient, so we’d be happy to discuss your scenario and possible options with you.

Veneers are thin porcelain shells that make your smile look flawless. These shells are customized to fit your teeth perfectly. Once your veneer is bonded to the tooth, veneers can:

  • Perfect your smile cosmetically
  • Fix crooked or misshapen teeth
  • Repair worn or chipped teeth
  • Conceal teeth stains and discolorations
  • Correct disproportionate teeth
  • Remove space between teeth
